The new Volvo XC90 arrived early this year, and the crew at Courtesy Volvo Cars of Chico wanted to highlight a few of the safety features responsible for the growing popularity of this incredible luxury SUV.

The Volvo XC90 makes use of the Lane-Keeping System for monitoring the exact position of the vehicle on the road. When sensors identify that the vehicle is starting to slowly drift out of the lane, the steering wheel is going to begin to vibrate steadily until the driver takes action and gets the car safely back into the lane and out of danger.

The Adaptive Cruise Control feature in the new Volvo XC90 is similar to that in older cars, with one unique difference. If the desired speed is set, the sensors use radar to scan ahead for a lead car, creating a buffer that will easily be maintained by the vehicle either slowing or speeding up as needed.
